Everyone tends to do this. But what if I told you about a different kind of coast? The kind that offered a chilly breeze, on and off sunshine, and cold waves crashing into a rocky shore. I have experienced a whole new kind of getaway with the ocean involved and it's vacation rentals Oregon coast style.

After living in Salem, Oregon for only a few months, my wife and I quickly discovered the beach, which was only an hour's drive away. How sweet can you get! We decided to look into vacation rentals Oregon coast based. This was a major change from the sunny beaches we were used to back in North Carolina.

Once we drove into Lincoln, I knew right away. Although it was sunny on this August day, the temperature was around 62 degrees. My jaw dropped as I watched the massive waves roll in and crash on the huge rocks. This was awesome. In fact, it was my kind of beach scene. I'm not once for heading out in the ocean. I head to the coast for the relaxing atmosphere and scenery.

As we proceeded on, it appeared that we were heading higher up into a mountainous region. Soon we reached Newport. This was the place where our vacation rentals Oregon coast style were located. I knew in my gut that this was going to be a fun two weeks. 

Okay, so here's the deal; I've now been tested out the vacation rentals Oregon coast three different times. All summer vacations were a success. My family and I prefer the Newport area other the other towns and here's why. It's a nice little beach town/tourist attraction. Therefore it offers the fun shops, candy stores and restaurants. The nearby aquarium is awesome and ideal for families with children. But, my absolute favorite spot is the Rogue brewery.
